I enjoyed a successful and rewarding career as an Executive and Administrative Assistant, Application Support &
Training Specialist and Desktop Support Specialist.  I even spent a few years as a Computer Programmer. But I loved administrative support work and wanted to market and sell my skills as an independent. I had begun to suspect that I would never be fully compensated in the real (non-virtual) world for the level of skills and expertise that I have. I was after all, ‘just an admin’. But – as a business person selling those same skills, knowledge and experience as an independent contractor, I would have more control and more choices in my professional life and still do the work that I enjoy.
And so it is!
